The Matthew 24 series on Jesus’ “Olivet Discourse” continues. This week starts a two-part series on the Rapture of the Church. This Sunday’s sermon we will be looking at whether or not the rapture is biblical and what the Lord’s appearing means.
October 11, 2020 – Rapture – “Is the rapture biblical? When will the rapture take place?” – Revelation 4:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
Scene in Heaven ‘1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.’ Revelation 4:1-2 NASB
Those in Christ ‘16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NASB
