6.19.2022 – Life & Times of Moses, “Show me Your Glory, Getting & Staying Close to God” – Rick Bickel
Exodus chapter 32: While Moses was up ‘chatting’ with God for 40-days and nights, the Hebrew people decided he has been gone too long, so the go to Aaron to make “gods” who “…will go before us…” (v.1.).

Moses goes down the mountain, breaks the stone tablets, grinds-up the golden calf into powder, puts it in water, and makes them drink it. He then calls for all those who are “for the Lord“, Levites. He send them in to the camp to kill the ‘wild-ones’ still running around out of control. Moses then goes back up on the mountain to make atonement for their sin (v. 30.).
