The Matthew 24 series on Jesus’ “Olivet Discourse” continues. This week covers Matthew 24:15+ and focusing on Daniel chapters 2, 7. Note how the Gentile empires will eventually be destroyed as they give rise to the Antichrist. It is this identification of the Antichrist, his rise to power, and the Antichrist’s abomination of desolation which marks the mid point of the Tribulation where the he steps into the Jerusalem Temple and claims himself to be God. This apostasy signals the great tribulation. It’s all part of the birth pangs that will occur during the tribulation period which further reveal signs of Christ’s second coming return.
